POST MOLDING DECORATION

FEATURE

  • Parts are first molded and then decorated by applying an adhesive either to the part or the film and then using a vacuum and pressure process to bond the film to the part and then trimming off the excess film.
  • Parts can be made with textured films which retain the texture and create a good tactile feel.

FORMING

  1. Set the substrate mold on the table. Set the film. Inside of the chamber box is atmospheric pressure.

  2. Vacuum the chamber box. Heat the film. Control the vacuum of the chamber box to keep the film horizontally.

  3. Raise the table. Change the pressure of upper chamber box to atmospheric pressure. Film is overlaid to the mold.

  4. Change the pressure of lower chamber box to atmospheric pressure.

  5. Take out the parts. Trim the excess film.
