POST MOLDING DECORATION
FEATURE
- Parts are first molded and then decorated by applying an adhesive either to the part or the film and then using a vacuum and pressure process to bond the film to the part and then trimming off the excess film.
- Parts can be made with textured films which retain the texture and create a good tactile feel.
FORMING
-
Set the substrate mold on the table. Set the film. Inside of the chamber box is atmospheric pressure.
-
Vacuum the chamber box. Heat the film. Control the vacuum of the chamber box to keep the film horizontally.
-
Raise the table. Change the pressure of upper chamber box to atmospheric pressure. Film is overlaid to the mold.
-
Change the pressure of lower chamber box to atmospheric pressure.
-
Take out the parts. Trim the excess film.
